Pay attention to how you feel. If you can notice any of the symptoms described below, it may mean that you have heart disease. Never ignore these warning signs and do all possible to prevent possible health issues.
You are responsible for your own life. Each year heart disease kills millions of males and females – do not become one of the victims.
1. Shortness of Breath
How quickly do you usually become short of breath? If you’ve just done jogging or exercising, then shortness of breath is a normal phenomenon. If you are short of breath even while in an inactive state, then you need medical assistance and professional advice. The reason why this is happening to you is because your heart is too weak to pump blood. Your blood leaks to the lungs and congests them. This causes difficulty with proper breathing.
2.Fainting
Heart disease can cause fainting. This is what typically happens to an individual after an intensive workout session. This kind of heart irregularity is the result of low blood pressure – the brain is not provided with sufficient amount of blood which leads to a temporary loss of consciousness.
3. Exhaustion
Feeling exhausted for no reason is abnormal. If you feel that you cannot accomplish ordinary tasks without taking frequent breaks, it may mean that you have heart disease. The exhaustion and tiredness can be caused by the reduced flow of blood that is delivered to the muscles and the tissues. Your body is too busy trying to deliver the blood to the brain and the heart since these are the most vital organs.
4. Constant Coughing
People with heart disease oftentimes experience cough that does not go away. The cough itself does not indicate heart iytssues. However, if you have noticed some other signs of heart disease, pay attention to your cough and consult the doctor. If the blood goes back to the lungs, the patient’s heart cannot keep up and then the person coughs up white or pink phlegm.
5. Rapid Weight Gain
Do you keep track of your diet but still keep on gaining pounds? That’s another symptom of heart disease. It is not necessarily fat that is gained. You might become heavier due to the accumulation of fluid. If your legs, feet, ankles are swollen, this might mean that you are suffering from heart disease.
