Manchester united have opened up to contractual negotiation with midfielder Ander Herrera who impressed under the tutelage of manager Jose mourinho last team.The 27-year old was in and out of the starting lineup during his initial two-year spell at old Trafford but he managed to establish himself as a regular last season with mourinho opting to pair him alongside Michael Carrick at the center of the park.
Herrera was handed the touch tackling dutiea during the course of the previous campaign,and his performances earned him the club's player of the year accolade while also making his debut with the Spain national side.
According to the Guardian, united vice chairman Ed Woodward met with Herrera representative Arturo canales during their pre-season tour of the united states in other to discuss terms over a suitable extension beyond next summer.
Herrera who is currently on a £75'000-a-week package has linked with a potential reunion with Ernesto valverde at Barcelona, but the Spaniard is committed to the red devils after having shine under the special once guidance last seasom.The former Basque player made 50 appearances for united during the 2016/17 while netting two goals with 11 assists in the process.
