        John Mikel Obi is now captain of his new club. The super eagles captain has been handed the captain band and the number 10 Jersey at Tianjin TEDA by coach, Jaime Pacheco.The Nigerian captain has reportedly been paid £2 million (N763 million) as a severance package upon his move to Chinese club.The severence package was in recognition of his services to the club for good 20 and half years. It was calculated as his remaining 6months of his Chelsea contract up front which was expected to expire I'm the summer. The former Chelsea midfielder's deal with Tianjin TEDA will expire December 2019.


        John Mikel obi has opened his goal scoring account in China as he was part of the scorers in tianjin TEDA's 2-0 win over Chongqing Lifan on Saturday in a Chinese super league tie.

         Mikel started the encounter alongside compatriot,Brown Ideye,who was making his 2nd league appearance.
